There is no doubt that God is truly a merciful God. He demonstrated this to humanity when he dispatched his only Son, Jesus Christ, to become our redeemer. In Timothy 1:12-13 Paul admitted that he was once a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent person but he obtained mercy from God because he acted out of ignorant and unbelief. However, because of Paul’s experience with Christ on the Damascus Road his life was changed forever. He was transformed and became a new creation. He was now a servant of the gospel he once opposed. Just like Paul was changed, we can also be transformed by the renewing of our minds when we allow God's word to penetrate the heart of our minds.
