You Are the Salt and Light of the Earth

In Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus says that Christians are the Salt and Light of the Earth. This passage is a call to action for Christians to be influencers of the earth so that through letting their light shine, their good deed can be seen by others. This will result in glorifying God in heaven. Being influencers means that our actions, our words, our attitudes, and our choices should reflect the love and grace of God. It also means our lives should be living testimonies of God's transformative power.
