2 Samuel 11:1-2 informs us that David, a man after God's own heart (Acts 13:22), was not in the place he should have been when he committed adultery with Bathsheba. Had he been on the battlefield with his troops, his sin with Bathsheba would not have happened. It would not have led him to make the decision to put her husband on the front line on the battlefield to cover up his adulterous relationship with Bathseba. Just like David was in the wrong place at the wrong time, we can find ourselves in a place where we should not be. However, if we answer the call of God by being where he calls us to be, we are protected. But when we step away from our calling, we become sitting ducks for the enemy's attacks.
